Happiness is not an emotion, happiness is a way of being, a moment, a dream, a meaningful time, or even the past or present itself. It is something that sometimes seem like it won’t disappear and it also seems like something scary, since every time we feel happy, we lost that happiness and we feel bad again. Yes, it happens, you can be scared of the happiness itself, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t be happy. Sometimes we are even really happy and we don’t notice it because of so many things that happen in our daily life. Happiness has three parts: pleasure, engagement, and meaning, pleasure is the “feel good” part of happiness, engagement refers to living a “good life” of work, family, friends, and hobbies, and meaning refers to using our strengths to contribute to a larger purpose.
Happiness may seem like something really hard to get, but it isn’t true. Making someone you love happy, or doing something good can also help others have a smile on their faces, you will never know when they needed too. To be happy, you don’t have to only think about yourself and your likes for getting happiness, it can also appear when you just see a simple smile in the face of someone else, or on contrary, when someone does this to you. You will never be alone, so you will always have someone who will protect you and enjoy your company and your smiles. Your family, friends, the person you like, it doesn’t matter if they are from the same race, place, family, they are all human beings that love you, and thinking about that should count as happiness. A single smile can change a whole life, and that doesn’t mean that you can’t have one on your own.
