of clothing to delve through, suiting volunteers
act like personal shoppers that help every woman
that comes to Suited for Change look and feel
her absolute best so she can step out into the
workforce with confidence.
Getting involved to assist Suited for
Change can be as simple as bringing gently
used professional clothing in. Suits, pantsuits,
separates, shoes, accessories, handbags,
unopened pantyhose, coats, and professional
outerwear are all accepted, though styles must be
current, clean, and free of damage. Of particular
demand are handbags, plus-sized professional
tops that fit underneath suit jackets, larger size
flats from size 9 up, tall pants, and larger sized
pantyhose.
Mentoring is strongly encouraged too. For
professional women who want to lend their
expertise, leading a workshop that helps promote
job readiness and life skills is a great way to become
a part of the many good things behind Suited for
Change. Suited for Change is always happy to have
new volunteers join in their good deeds.
Suited for Change also hosts many charity
events, another chance to get involved. They
have helped over 24,500 DC area women change
their lives since they’ve opened their doors over
the last 25 years. Interested in being a part of
the change you want to see in the world? Help
another woman get back on her feet by working

Suited for change is a great example of a long-
standing organization built on helping others.
