The Regulatory Response
The European Union has developed two directives (Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC and Energy Labeling Directive
2010/30/EC) to address the environmental impact of all Energy related Products (ErP) beginning at the earliest stages of
design. YORK Chillers and Heat Pumps are currently affected by these directives or will be affected moving forward.
