ouTube, Vimeo, etc., have been a gift
to youth ministry—and a curse. Being able to find just the right video
clip to re-teach a point in the lesson
using different sensory has been the
gift. The curse has come when the video has
overpowered the message you were teaching
or off-topic just enough to disconnect your
message. Or what I consider the worse curse
of all—YouTube has become a lazy resource
we use to fluff up the message or sometimes
the video becomes the central message and
with God’s word being attached to support
the video.
