Bauld Trophy at Tynecastle. In 2005 Dyce’s Under 17s
reached the Scottish Cup final, which was won on penalty
kicks. As there are no Dyce teams beyond the age of 17
it proved to be a fitting end to the boy’s careers at Dyce,
lifting the National Trophy. This brought the club its 3rd
success in Scottish Cup Finals.2009 saw the Under 14s lift
the Scottish Cup by a display that justifies the saying ‘play
until the final whistle’. They were losing with 3 minutes to
play, pulled back 2 goals to equalise and eventually won
the game in extra-time.
In 2011, Dyce BC created history by being the 1st side
to win the Scottish Cup three years in a row with relatively
the same team in what was a proud achievement for
everyone involved with the club. The club are justly proud
of the fact that fifteen ‘old boys’ are currently making their
living from full time professional football, whilst a number
of former players grace Highland and Junior leagues. Dyce
Boys Club look forward to the future with their continued
aim to foster the development of youth football. The last
few years has seen the advent of coaching for the Under
8s where the emphasis is placed on fun and enjoyment
whilst teaching the boys the basic skills and techniques
that will hopefully stand them in good stead for the years
ahead. Some of Dyce BCs players who have played at
top SPFL sides include Ross Tokely and Graham Shinnie .
Staggies manager Derek Adams was also in Dyce’s books.
Aberdeen player Russell Anderson and ex Don Darren
Mackie were also appeared for Dyce as well as ex-Rangers
and Caley midfielder Andrew Shinnie ,now with English
Championship side Birmingham City.
