Dear Reader,
Summer is now here and I have no doubt the village will
again look wonderful with hanging baskets and flower displays
in the front gardens.

It is always a joy to walk along Bath Road on a warm summer
evening after a long hot day and actually be able to smell the
flowers as well as see them.
There is a lot of talk these days about being ‘centred’, and
have you noticed a great many people start their answer to
interview questions on TV and Radio with, “So”? Do you find it
infuriating too? However, it is all part of the ‘being centred’
craze.
Rather than just making a big deal out of it with training
Guru’s and the like, perhaps we should all just simply be in the
moment occasionally. It’s a cliché but do stand back and smell
the flowers; let the noise in your brain quieten. Steal 15
minutes to do something you want to do rather than what you
should be doing. I recently had a health issue and simply by
loading an app onto my phone has made a heck of a
difference. It reminds me to stand up and walk around for a
minute in every 30 whilst working at my PC, or in my studio.
For that minute I’m in the moment and solely aware of me.
Perhaps I’m just an old hippy but it certainly works. Health
issue improved!
