Stop or Soup Lunch - times as advertised."
Since our last report we have had a Coffee Stop and Soup lunch. At the April Coffee
stop we listened in amazement to the testimony of Paul, a redundant drug addicted
Electrician who had gone off to Thailand seeking satisfaction in life. Paul was caught
up in the Boxing Day Tsunami which devasted parts of Asia. He was literally saved
from drowning by the skin of his teeth and this caused him to think more about the
meaning of life. Following a motor cycle accident he came to realise his need of
Jesus in his life. This led to his conversion. He is now married with a young family
and seeking to serve the Lord.
The interlude at our Soup lunch in May was provided by Kathy Larkman and her
accompanist Helen from Corsham Baptist Church. Kathy gave testimony of the Lord's
help in her life, particularly during her husband's illness. At one point she had the
audience singing with her "raindrops on roses". Good food and fellowship was had by
all.
