More recently, he was appointed Yuma County director for the Arizona School Boards Association
and to the board of directors of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials
(NALEO). In February 2015, he became the city’s assistant to the city manager in which he assisted
in overseeing San Luis’ daily operations. Since September, 2015 De La Hoya has been serving as

James DeAmicis

James Vincent DeAmicis is a School Committee member from Quincy,
Massachusetts. For nine years, DeAmicis lived in South Boston with his
three younger siblings. He attended parochial schools in Dorchester
until the age of 10, after which his family moved to Quincy and he was
enrolled in a public school. He began his life in public service in 2015 by
winning a seat on the Quincy School Committee. At 19, DeAmicis became
the youngest elected official in the history of Quincy. He now attends Suffolk University in Boston,
where he studies government.

Donovan Dela Cruz is a member of the Hawaii State Senate where he
serves as majority whip, vice chair of Committee on Ways and Means
and is a member of the Education, Government Operations, and Water,
Land and Agriculture Committees. Dela Cruz earned his B.A. in journalism
and communications studies from the University of Oregon, his masters
from Argosy University, and is currently working on his Doctorate in
Architecture from the University of Hawaii–Manoa. Dela Cruz is a member and past president of
the Leilehua High School Education Foundation, and member of the advisory council at Leeward
Community College and the Leeward Community College Culinary Institute Board. He is currently
the vice president for communications at DTL Hawaii.
