Philippines - The Philippines had a change in President in 2016, and 2017 showed
that it is a major market for General and Business Aviation, with significant
opportunities for development and investment. To meet this need and to support
members looking to operate in this part of the region, AsBAA launched a Philippines
Chapter in 2017. Since the initial launch, which was sponsored by AsBAA members,
Embraer Executive Jets, Global Jet Capital and Equiom, AsBAA has appointed
Benjamin “Jay” Lopez, INAEC Aviation Corporation as the head of the Chapter, which
is now actively working with the authorities to explore the opportunities for aviation
infrastructure development in Manila. In January, an AsBAA led delegation visited
Manila for a high-level information and investment trip. For further details on the

AsBAA is working closely with CAAP, MIAA, CRK, CIAC and the authorities at Subic Bay to ensure that the
voice of the business and general aviation industry, through AsBAA is heard. This is especially important in
relation to the development of new facilities that will put transform the current opportunities here.

Singapore - The AsBAA Singapore Chapter invites its members (and

Pilot’s representation
New AsBAA Pilot’ s Chapter to launch in 2018!
In early 2018, AsBAA will launch a new community for pilots, the AsBAA Pilot Community
Sessions in partnership with AsBAA member, Airbus. The new sessions will initially roll out in
Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and are expected to be in place for members to access
by early March 2018. The objective of the new Pilot’ s Community will be to create a space,
specifically for pilots to access the latest information, updates and opportunities. If you would like
