Invasive weeds and pest animals devastate natural ecosystems , while costing agriculture hundreds of millions of dollars a year in lost productivity and management costs . This year NQ Dry Tropics removed more terrestrial and aquatic weeds than ever before and continued to tackle the threat of feral animals .
