Glögg Holiday Mixer
All over Sweden we celebrate Christmas with a warm cup of glögg, and as usual the Swedish American
Chamber of Commerce of Philadelphia invited members and friends to the annual Glögg Holiday Mixer
to celebrate that another successful year has gone by and that the Holiday season is upon us.
On December 4th, around 50 people gathered at Freeman’s Auction in Center City Philadelphia for
an evening of networking and festivities. The guests could enjoy homemade glögg and a variety of
hors d’oeuvres made by Ulla-Britt Apell, while listening to live cello music in the vivid surrounding of
the paintings that would be auctioned off a few days later. We also had a raffle and an auction with
several impressive prizes and some of the sponsors included Hilton, Red Rooster NY, IKEA, Wyebrook
Farm, Sagaform and Orrefors.
For the sixth consecutive year, SACC-Philadelphia presented its annual Business Entrepreneurial Award,
which is awarded to an individual or a company who has made a significant contribution to the
exchange of trade and commerce between Scandinavia and the Philadelphia Region. Additional
