Looking back on 2015
February 25th:
Speaking session with Klas Bergman
We invited our members, Young Professionals
and the University of Pennsylvania community
to our first speaking session this year held by
author and reporter Klas Bergman hosted at
the University Of Pennsylvania in collaboration
with the Political Science Department and the
Department of Germanic Languages. The topic
of the discussion was American and Swedish
politics and Mr. Bergman provided our guests
with his experiences while everyone enjoyed
appetizers and soft drinks.
April 9th:
Scandinavian Hockey Night
With hockey being one of the most popular sports
in both Sweden and the U.S., it is always both
entertaining and rewarding to host our annual
SACC-Philadelphia Hockey Night, where we
give both potential as well as existing members
the opportunity to enjoy the game while also
broadening their network. This time we watched
our beloved Philadelphia Flyers take on the
Carolina Hurricanes at the Wells Fargo Center.
June 12th:
FIFA Women’s World Cup
SACC-Philadelphia hosted three Happy Hours
to cheer on the Swedish team during the FIFA
Women’s World Cup 2015. Unfortunately, after
three tied games and a final defeat against
Germany in the fourth match, Sweden was
