Dear Members of SACC-Philadelphia, It has been my pleasure and honor to serve as President of SACC-Philadelphia. In 2012, SACC-Philadelphia continued its tradition of selecting a recipient for its annual business entrepreneurial award. Our Chamber created the award in 2010 to recognize companies and individuals who have made significant contributions to the exchange of trade and commerce between the Philadelphia Region and Scandinavia, and important contributions towards innovation, corporate social responsibility and sustainable business practices. The 2012 award was presented to SKF USA and its president Poul Jeppesen at our Glogg Party in December. Many distinguished individuals from the Philadelphia and Scandinavian business community attended this event. Our Chamber looks forward to continuing the tradition of our annual award in 2013. In 2013, our Chamber has been delighted to participate in the festivities and celebrations surrounding the 375th anniversary of the New Sweden Colony, which was based in the Philadelphia Region along the Delaware River. As part of this celebration, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden visited Delaware and Pennsylvania to celebrate the 375th anniversary. SACC-Philadelphia is thankful for having hard working and contributing interns - Carin Leeo, Lotta Nordin, Mattias Lundin, Emma Weiner, Thomas Ahlmark, Marcus Mardh, Alexandra Serenhov, and Julia Djurfeldt, in 2012 and 2013. Our internship program has continued to be a valuable experience for our interns and the Chamber. We look forward to welcoming our new interns in the Fall 2013. Finally, I would like to thank our members for your continued support. David W. Engstrom President, SACC-Philadelphia
