In memorian
March 8, 2013 - It is with deep regret that we report the loss of one of our founding members, Bill Dostmann, beloved husband of Maria. Bill and Maria helped form the chapter and supported us in all of our projects. Bill was well known for his unwavering support for Maria in their business called Scandinavian Touch, which sold all types of Scandinavian items. They would always supply Swedish interns for our events and participate as well. Bill was a retired project manager for RTM/Four Nines in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. Bill and Maria lived in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. They always rented a large area each year at Scanfest and their booth was always crowded. Many times their two children, Sharon and Karl, would help out. They were also active at the American Swedish Historical Museum. Bill loved to attend auto racing and restore classic and sports cars. He was always congenial and an all around “good guy”. Maria indicates she wants to continue being a member of SACC. Bill leaves behind his loving wife, Maria, children Karl, Sharon and her husband Richard de Michele and grandchildren Amanda and Elizabeth. Text: Erwin Apell, Chairman SACC Philadelphia
