MALIN KARLSSON
TOMAS AHLMARK
Malin is originally from Hova, a small
town situated in the middle of Sweden
between the two big lakes Vanern and
Vattern. She started her university studies
at Orebro University, right between Stockholm and Gothenburg, where she had a
focused on finance and accounting. The
spring of 2011 was her last semester, and
she had plans of either going to Budapest
for another semester in order to get her
Masters degree, or moving to Stockholm.
Then, the opportunity for SACC Philadelphia came along, and she decided to apply for it. She is interested in finance and
want like to work as an advisor within the
financial sector. The SACC internship was
a good first step, as it gave her experience abroad and the opportunity to be
immersed in the American business culture. She will now head back to the University, finish her Masters and then continue on in an exciting career in finance.
Tomas Ahlmark was SACC-Philadelphia’s
intern, starting in November 2011. Tomas comes from the city of Strängnäs,
one hour west of Stockholm. Tomas has
previously lived in the United States for
one year between 2001-2002, as an exchange student in high school. He lived
in rural Nebraska and found the experience rewarding in many ways and also
a bit different from what he was used to
from Sweden. Since then he has a MSc
in Business and Economics from Stockholm School of Economics within Business and Economics and lived and studied
in Prague in the Czech Republic for one
semester. Before his internship, Tomas
worked for the full service HR consulting
company Florec AB in Stockholm. With
the internship at SACC-Philadelphia, Tomas hopes to gain experience in American business life, and a stepping stone
into an international business career.
