Girl gamer in an X-Box world Multiplayer is what makes this game; DICE have really out done themselves. With the new Frostbite 3 engine they are now capable of the constant changing of the environment in the maps; giant buildings crumbling, winds turning into typhoons, boats becoming difficult to manoeuvre on the rough treacherous waters and towers collapsing making it difficult to get tanks to the enemy territory. Frostbite 3 has made it more exciting for players, making you think intelligently and constantly keep changing your strategy because the building you were using for sniping may have crumbled or your favourite dot sight doesn’t work well with the typhoons so you have to choose a sight which uses infrared. Sadly with all the terrain changes the visual effects become quite poor with textures and pieces of structures just vanishing. Overall I found the story of the campaign pretty good, although the emotional parts were a bit too much sometimes and the sudden personality changes make it difficult to believe. The graphics are improved since BF3 considering the Frostbite 3 engine but for the Xbox it has had to really cut back on what the game can do and look like since the 360 isn’t built for the graphical advances that have happened. So apart from the fact that there is no female soldier option I would give this game 8/10 because DICE have tried really hard on this one and you can definitely tell. It’s just a shame the 360 °decreases it’s rating but the Xbox is still pretty pricey! Graphics 4/5 Multiplayer 4/5 Realism 4/5 Story 3/5 Controls 5/5 Overall 20/25 14.
