Recipe! Cottage pie! On Wednesday the 25th of June the catch up chill out session made not one, but two cottage pies. So yummy that the staff at the Knight Club were crowding round trying to steal a piece! We thought we would share the recipe with you. This recipe makes two enormous cottage pies. (If you are a vegetarian, just substitute the meat for your favourite mix of vegetables:) Your shopping list! Olive oil (or vegetable oil if you prefer) £1.25 1 pack of Lean minced beef £1.99 Sea salt and black pepper (Most people have this anyway) 3 medium onions (Chop and dice) £0.97 1 garlic bulb (Chop and dice) £0.25 Few thyme sprigs, leaves only £0.70 2 tins of plum tomatoes (roughly chop in the pan) £0.62 1 tube of tomato purée (you will need 2tbsp) £0.38 1 kg floury potatoes, such as Maris Piper or King Edward (Chopped) £0.69 4 oz. butter (Salted or unsalted) £1.00 Parmesan or cheddar (Grated a handful) £2.50 Total: £10.35 Feeds 8 people £10.35 ÷ 8 = £1.31 per serving! 13.
