Leftovers on Boxing Day? Shopping list: Potatoes Mild Chilli powder Florette mixed salad 1. 2. 3. £2.25 £1 £1 You will need: 1 potato per person Get a potato and cut it in half along the longest length Put the flat side of the potato down and cut it long ways again Now carefully cut the quarter in half diagonally so you have a wedge shape 4. Make as many as you need 5. Pre heat you oven to 200 degrees/gas mark 6 if you are cooking the tart they can go in together 6. Put the wedges in a saucepan and add boiling water to cover the potatoes 7. Boil them until you can easily put a fork in to them, be careful not to over-cook so they fall apart, it should take about 10-15 minutes 8. Drain the water 9. Add potatoes to a baking tray and drizzle with some oil, chilli powder if you want it and salt and pepper if you have it 10. Bake in the oven for 15/20 mins until golden, remember the potatoes are cooked so the more crispy you want them the longer you leave them. 11. Put some paper towels down if you have them and dap off any excess oil, if you don’t then don’t worry. 12. Serve with Tart and salad 9.
