In September 1906 it was suggested to the Commit · tee that the au1hori1ies should be approached regarding the Oying of storm signals on Fon Denison and Garden Island on Saturdays , Sundays and holidays . This was fo llowed upon 8 August 1907 by a resolution that ' the PA YC is desirous of having stonn $ ignals exhibited on Sha . rk Island '. Funher amendments called for stom1 signals to be nown at Fon Denison and Barreojoey . It would appear that both requests were ignored . Stonn warnings were dis · played on the General Post Office in conjunction with 1hefiringoftheoneo ' clockgun at FOl ' l Denison but this was of no use to those on the Harbour who could not sec the General Post Office !
