Early trophies including the Basin Cup , the Sayonara Cup , La Carbine Cup . The Northcote and AmAus Cups . The Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Yacht Race and the El Admiral ' s Cup .
One of the first rich and beautiful trophies to be donated to the club was a magnificent silver cup presented about the end of 1898 by Commodore Samuel Hordem . IL was valued at 100 guineas and stood 60 cm high . In donating this valuable trophy , the donor made certain stipulations regarding Ll1e rules under which it was to be contested . 111e mce was to be handicap racing . any sails . to be sailed to
a finish , thereby giving all the yachts of the club the opportunity to compete ,
The cup was to be held by me winner for one year , and had to be won three times by the same owner in his own yacht before it became his propeny . Handi · caps were to be given at the finish .
The Hordem Trophy , presented by Commodore Samuel Hordem in 1898 . Of solid silver , it was called the · hundred guinea cup ' in
1898 and was probably the most valuable cup presented to the club . It was , as were other cups of that era , presented to be held by the winner for one year and if won three times by the one owner it became his property . The first yacht to win was H erreshoff , then C . T . Brockhoff won in his 30-footer , Aoma . In 1901 Walter Marks won in lua ; 1902 , C . T . Brockhoff in a new 30-footer , Fleetwing ; 1903 , A . W . Crane in Sunbeam ; 1904 , A . C . Nathan in / sea ; 19.05 , A . W .

This beautiful cup was presented to the club by Commodore 1 . W . 0 . Hanks ( l869-72 ) and was won by James Graham with the yacht A11srralian . It WM returned to the club and is now being sailed for in tl1e club ' s Offshore Division .
