11 . Do you think that the older you get the less you believe in astrology ? From experience as I have grown up and educated myself more on astrology , the stronger my beliefs have become . I think that older generations have a harder time believing in astrology due to more traditional religious beliefs . However , I do know individuals who are very interested and want to learn more . I think it is completely down the individual and how they feel about their beliefs .
At a time where modern society is heavily influenced by social media and entertainment online , exposure to various aspects of astrology has been higher than ever . Growing up with this type of exposure will have an impact on a person ’ s interest and belief in the practice , which can ultimately make them engage with it themselves .
There has been an increased presence of astrology in pop culture , too . In fact , model Kendall Jenner once said that because she is a Scorpio she “ sticks to people .” Meaning that if she loves you , that won ’ t change , but if she doesn ’ t like you , you ’ re screwed because that won ’ t change either . Actress and singer Selena Gomez also mentions that because she is a Cancer she is “ sensitive as f * ck ,” and feels “ everything so intensely .” The majority of people , especially Gen Z , admire at least one or two celebrities , and for the most part , believe in what they say . So , if they have read somewhere that these celebrities engage with astrology or believe in it , then it ’ s very likely that they will follow their example .
In the end astrology cannot provide definite solutions , but rather offer significant explanations for unknown and complicated situations , which in turn can give a feeling of control over them . In terms of mental health , astrology can give individuals hope for the future , leading to a decrease of stress and anxiety . However , as with most things in life , what is useful to one person may not work the same way for another .
