will be caught and that leads to more curiousity. Paint the picture and present it with persistance. Utilize all your outlets and never favor one over the other. You never know who is listening.
What do you think is the biggest thing stopping you from that big break?
Right now, the fact that the game has changed drastically compared to when I was offered the Columbia deal and sometimes I tend to stay stuck in the mentality that the music and talent speaks for itself. It's all a numbers game now, whether its trash or bubblegum. If your numbers aint right then the labels don't look your way. So the numbers aint what I want them to be right now but thats all about to change.
Who are some of your musical influences?
My greatest musical influence is my Grandma and Michael Jackson. Then of course on the reggae side its Buju Banton, Bob Marley, Black Stalin, Peter Tosh, Bounty Killa, Beenie Man, and Elephant man. The hip hop side its Method Man, Jay Z, Biggie Smalls, Tupac, Big L.. I got some R&B there too Smokey Robinson, The Temptations.. listened all them guys back then was dope!!
Yeah, I caught a grove or two off Smokey Robinson myself, lol. What image do you think your music conveys and why did you choose this type of image for your music?
My music conveys an all out image much like that of Bob Marley.. Whenever Marley performed you can see the passion and, joy and pain in his aura. I choose this image because I tend to get tired of the BS that comes along in this industry so I say F*** it and let em have it with my rebellious type, stage performance. Marley spoke his mind through his songs and his performances and so will I.
Who are the members of your team, that make makes your machine run?
The members of my team consists of a few actually. From "The LaNe", we got Greg P The Voice, Real Right, Songlist, J Post, and Kev Live. From the C&C Ent. Firm the key players are Mr. Cynclair, Jesse Coltrane, and Stacey Smith. From my 151 production family is Buggzy Hoffa and a few more to mention. I keep a big little circle. Shout outs to Team Xtreme, Dj XXXotic Mami, Superagent Dre, and Dizzy Brown.
Out of all the songs you have done what is your favorite, and which one do you like the most to perform?
Of all my songs I've written to date, my favorite is entitled "Uncle Sam". The crowd pleaser is the one I call "More Gyal" it never seems to die down. It's my go to song everytime, but I got something cooking up that could be the new crowd pleaser.. Stay tuned yall.
