Stop make-up

In the sweltering heat of our South African summer, it’s hard to stay cool and looking good. Smudged eye-liner and streaky make-up is not a good look!
Here are some tips for avoiding the make-up meltdown during these hot months:
• Always, always begin your day by applying sunblock to your face. South Africa has one of the highest incidences of malignant melanoma in the world – enough said;
• Use a tinted moisturiser or BB cream instead of a heavy foundation. This will give light coverage and allow your skin to breathe. Good brands include Clinique and Ponds;
