Your Life & Spiritual Questions Answered By
Whispered Guidance – Michelle Vooght.com
Question: Why
is
it
so
hard
looking
at
ourselves?
For
many,
the
idea
of
personal
development
or
self-‐development
feels
uncomfortable.
Maybe
it
is
because
we
will
feel
judged
or
criticized
or
perhaps,
fearful
of
the
feeling
of
not
being
“good
enough”.
The
responsibility
upon
us,
to
become
a
better
person,
happier
or
more
competence
is
either
for
us,
a
senseless
activity
or
very
hard
work!
Either
way,
the
value
and
benefit
from
constantly
looking
at
ourselves,
the
progress
we’ve
made,
exploring
and
identifying
further
areas
of
improvement
cannot
be
underestimated.
More
so
in
the
world
of
the
entrepreneur.
Being
successful
in
one’s
own
business
and
constantly
improving
oneself
to
overcome
a
milliard
of
challenges,
requires
us
to
make
changes
to
ourselves,
our
belief
systems
and
at
times,
our
attitude
and
behaviour.
Ultimately,
it
is
our
attitude
that
drives
our
success.
Whilst
many
factors
impact
and
influence
our
attitude,
with
self-‐development
we
come
to
understand
that
it
is
not
WHAT
happens
to
us
what
matters,
but
what
we
DO
about
it.
Most
successful
entrepreneurs
have
developed
this
competence
and
remain
consistent
in
improving
their
thought
processes
and
empowering
themselves
–
a
strong
successful
person
does
not
fear
change
and
shakes
hands
with
the
inner
critic.
Self-‐development
allows
us
to
re-‐create
limiting
Beliefs:
It
takes
a
lot
of
self-‐study
to
recreate
limiting
beliefs
–
firstly
we
need
to
understand
and
evaluate
what
our
current
belief
system
is,
and
how
this
be
a
barrier
to
our
ultimate
achievement
and/or
living
our
highest
potential.
