XM: Will we see you back on the Honda for next season?
MT: I’m really not sure yet, if I do race a Honda, it will be as a full privateer!
Unfortunately, Al Futtaim Honda chose to stop all support, for the coming season at least,
even though we won the title, but they have their reasons and I respect that.
I own my race bike and I know it so well now, but without getting proper support, it will be
very unlikely.
At the moment, I have a couple of options to consider with other manufacturers and we
will see what happens in the next months. I have a preferred option and we are already in
talks and I hope we can come to terms, as I think we can do great things for the brand, the
racing community here and also road riders alike.
The most important thing is to get good support to be able to stay competitive!....So, fingers
crossed!
