The long winter wait is over, as
the world’s toughest riders came
out in force for the 2017 Hard
Enduro World Series opening
round in Brazil. Hard by name,
it’s certainly hard by nature with
races dotted all across the globe.
From the jungle-like terrain of
Brazil to Austria’s iron ore quarry
of the Erzbergrodeo and the
peaks of the isolated Romaniacs
mountains plus plenty of other
terrain in between. It’s a sport
where only the toughest survive
and the most determined and
skilled succeed.
Graham Jarvis held off American
Cody Webb and Spaniard
Alfredo Gomez to claim victory
in the second edition of Red Bull
Minas Riders in Brazil. The British
rider lost out to Gomez in last
year’s inaugural race, however
he dug deep over 240km to
take revenge after the race was
cut short to two days due to
environmental concerns out of
the organisers control..
The 42-year-old Jarvis said,
“Cody was really close to me
most of the time and, honestly,
