XL / Novembre 2019 To consult the toolkit visit: www.comeinproject.com Sara Massini on assignment for ENGSO in Trento to follow the work on sport of the European Commission Sara Massini’s work within the ENGSO Ex-COM (the Executive Committee) and her professionalism have not gone unnoticed. The director of the International Relations Department of OPES, has received another prestigious assignment from the maximum non-governmental sports organization of the European Union. The last 4th November, the European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation (ENGSO), in fact, has sent her to Trento to follow the work of the European Commission’s group of experts, engaged in the development of sport sector. As an observer member, Sara Massini participated in the two- day event addressing the following topic: “Skills and Human Resources Development in Sport”. The development of skills and human resources in sports passes through guidelines that establish which basic, and essential, requirements must have a coach in terms of skills and competences. The works done at the University of Trento will also be used to draft a document that will be published in 2020. A topic of such great importance from both sport and social point of view will certainly have a significant impact on the transformation of European sport. Massini and I will remain in Nantes until Sunday, because the calendar of activities still includes appointments, comparisons and workshops. Moreover, we will use this weekend to answer the questions of all the people who want to deepen the issues related to our initiative”. In Nantes, in addition to the volunteers and managers of the 5 associations, a group of participants to the project was invited. Among them, people with and without disabilities who shared with the audience their experiences, pointing out the impact of COME In on their activities as well as in their lives. For Sara Massini, however, these two days were valuable in terms of content, meanings and ideas. Directly or indirectly, her presence, her reflections, her analysis and her contributions will be an added value for ENGSO, for OPES and for all sports organizations in the Old Continent. 23
