Editor’s letter
Hello XiOXers,
Welcome back to issue 2, I hope you enjoyed the release issue. This months special edition cover story was
inspired by Frita Kahlo perfect for our May issue with Cinco De Mayo coming. Bringing some of my hispanic heritage to life. Frita Kahlo was an amazing painter,she mentioned how she painted her life experiences and
expressed her self by her paintings. I had the opportunity to work on another project with cover model Isabella
Derrick & my partner had mentioned that I should use her for my Frita Kahlo project. She was amazing to work
with and really got into her charachter. With the help of my my husband & mom, who made many of the custom jewelry and flower pieces just to make sure we had some elaborate pieces. Took many hours but was alot of
fun, creating an entire look. We also went on a shopping spree to hand pick what she was going to wear. I got to
see my work of art come to life. I hope you enjoy this beauty editorial as much as we did creating it. There was
so many images, to choose from, that it was so hard to pick them. I also want to thank all the cosmetic companies, artists, photographers for making XiOX Magazine possible. I will continue to creat art and hope to inspire
