For businesses that have a lot of casuals
with changing shifts and rosters, I
recommend that you look into utilising
rostering software that integrates with
Xero.
A question that I get frequently is around
employees and their leave accruals. If not
set up correctly in the beginning, it can be
time consuming to correct the accruals
later.
A product like Deputy allows you to
prepare rosters, track time and attendance
and communicate with staff. At the end of
each pay period, the timesheets will be
exported directly from Deputy to Xero and
will cut out double entry of data. This is a
great way to automate both your rostering
process and the payment of payroll.
