Fire Pits

If you are new to Arizona, you may find it hard to believe that before long our temperatures will be perfect for a fire pit. In November, the temperature drops to the low 50's and the mid-40's in December and January. These temperatures provide the perfect environment for an outdoor fire pit. Fire pit options can range from the simple to the very elaborate. Some are perfectly suited for the "do-it-yourselfer," while others require the assistance of a seasoned professional.

This fire pit is made from a metal bowl that may or may not come equipped with a cover. These can be purchased at your local nursery, hardware store or department store. This type of fire pit is very easy to set up and is easy to move to a new location. Some may come assembled and some may require assembly.

Chimineas have become a popular backyard accessory. Originally they were made of clay, but cast iron or aluminum options are also now available. While they do not give off much heat, the smell of burning wood does add to the ambiance of a backyard or patio. It is important to note the type of chiminea you have and use the proper kind of wood. These are not intended to have a roaring fire and care should be taken with them, as they are fragile. These can also be found at your local nursery, hardware store or department store.
