WHY CARDI B
DESERVED THE
GRAMMY
Cardi B made history Sunday night with the first Grammy
win of her career. The rapper took home Best Rap Album
for Invasion of Privacy, the first time in Grammys history
that a solo female artist has won the award.
Cardi is only the second woman to receive the honour;
Lauryn Hill took home the award as a member of The
Fugees in 1997 for the group’s album The Score (21
years ago). Throughout this whole time no other female
rapper has managed to win this award. 
People took to social media to bash on Cardi B winning
as they thought she shouldn't have won. The reason: she
has a ghostwriter. 
I don’t know why people care so much about
ghostwriting, especially in hip hop when so many pop
artist have a team of writers and no one bats an eye lid.
Cardi B is not the only rap artist to have a writer and
she's not the first one. People have become so obsessed
with authenticity that they've forgotten that music itself is
like a group project, where an artist, producer etc shares
a vision and want to see that come to life.
