Site and Project Setup First set the view to the ‘Left’ or ‘Right’ elevation views using the view options in the view panel under the View tab. Please note the difference in the view and the view cube once this has been done. Select all the contours, make sure that the Ortho mode is switched on and move the contours down by the amount or elevation value that you want to have your building on i.e. 1609.00. if you zoom to extents after the moving of the contours then you will see that all the flattened objects and the contour lines are now more or less in the same place. We can now bring this DWG into our Revit project without worrying that we will create a large or tall DWG foot print. Save this DWG as your own version of what the Land surveyor sent you in the relevant project file. You may close the AutoCAD Drawing.
