Family Creation 4 & Shared Parameters
The Door Panel Count is determined by the user . The width of the individual panels is determined by the overall ( Width- ( 24 + 24 ))/ Door Panel Count . Add some more panels to the array + - 5 . In the formula column for the Panel Width parameter enter :
q . ( Width- ( 24 + 24 ))/ Door Panel Count r . Click ‘ Apply ’ check that the panels fill the Width . s . Load the family into your project to check the display .
These panels will be used to display the door when it is closed . Select an item in the array . Edit the group . Select the extrusion . Add a Parameter in the visibility properties .

Yes / No w . Grouping = Other x . Type / Instance = Type y . Click OK
Next we will create the panels that are stacked . This is a nested Generic Model component . Click on the Revit Applications Button and open a new Generic Model family template . This stacking door will have a display property where the Opening Percentage can be set . Most of this set up work needs to happen inside this new Gen . Model .
