WORKSHOP 16 – CREATING NEW HATCH PATTERNS USING ‘HATCH22’
To complete this chapter it is required that the Addin, Hatch22. Is installed on the relevant computer
used by the student. This Addin can be downloaded from the following web address:
www.mertens3d.com
There is a downloadable sample file of hatch patterns that have been created by the author of
Hatch22. This sample file is included in this chapter. It is also recommended that the user build up a
sample or source file containing all hatch patterns created. All the .pat files created using Hatch22
should also be saved in this file’s location folder.

Hatch22. Nor will the author of the Addin Hatch22. Hatch22 is a third party development and not
affiliated to Autodesk
After installing the Hatch22
Addin. You will have gained
extra Line Styles of their own
category. If you have not done
so already it will be necessary
to click on the Add-Ins TAB,
click on the drop down under
mertens3d, click on hatch22-
2012.
The Hatch22 dialogue window
will open. To create the
specific line types that the
Add-In uses for creating .pat
file we first need to click on the
‘Make Subcategories’ button.
