Detailing and annotations
To start a new Detail Item
Family Click on the Revit
Application button, expand
‘New’ and click on the Family
option.
In the Family Templates
Dialogue window choose the
Metric Detail Item. Click Open
The Detail Item Family
templates are 2D based.
There is no 3D view or
environment. For our carcass
detail to work we need to
create and ‘map’ certain
parameters to the one that are
in the Cupboard family. These
will be the following.
Depth
Height
Depending on the design of
future cupboards there might
be additional parameters to
include.
Inside the Detail Item family
place a Reference plane to the
Right of the Centre Left/Right
Reference Plane. Place a
dimension between the two
Ref. planes.
