You might still have this
problem even if you have
deleted all unnecessary
layers. You can move the
drawing back to the 0.0 origin
inside AutoCAD. Or you can
create a new drawing by
selecting the lines of the
survey that you want and
using the ‘Wblock’ command
in AutoCAD. This will create a
new dwg from the selected
elements, (it is still good
practice to make sure that
there are no hidden layers).
The second step to cleaning
up the DWG is to flatten all
objects that are not contour
lines or that do not need to
have elevation values. We do
this in the following manner;
Switch off the layers that do
need elevation values i.e. The
contour layers
