WORKSHOP 14 – WORKSETS & COLLABORATION
To better demonstrate this
Workshop, two separate Revit
Programs were opened. This
will allow us to add different
usernames to each Revit
Program to demonstrate how
two users can work on one file
at the same time.
User A and User B
Worksharing allows multiple
members of a team to work on
a single file. As demonstrated.
Step 1
Creating a Central File
When Creating a central file, it
is easier to start with a model
instead of an empty project.
We start this exercise with
opening Start – Worksets.rvt

To create a Central file, you
have to create Worksets.
Before you create worksets
you’ll have to decide on how
your model will be divided up
into ‘layers’. This could
depend on the Users’
workflow, the Model
complexity or the Office
Workflow. The workflow in this
exercise, divides the model
