DOOR TAGS
With regards to door schedules
we often need to include more
information than the current
parameters afforded to us for
the doors category.
This can be done in one of two
ways, either by using project
parameters or shared
parameters. At this point we
need to determine how we will
be using these parameters. If
they need only appear in a
schedule, a project parameter
will suffice. However if the
information needs to appear in
a tag, we will need to use a
shared parameter. The reason
for this is that the parameter
needs to be loaded into both
the family and the project
In the door tag family, create a
new label (located on the Text
Panel of the Create Tab), in the
type selector edit the label as
required (Font Colour, type, size,
would factor is etc). Place the
label where required and the
Edit Label pop-up will appear.
This pop-up is divided into two
parts, the left shows all the
available parameters for the
category (in this case Doors),
and the right shows the
parameters we selected for
label.
