Tip: in-place floors will not react
the same way as their system
family counterparts concerning
shaft openings. To place a void
in an in-place floor you will
need to model the void in the
family
Lastly, as far as penetrations
go, we will look at penetration
families. These are floor based
void families with instance
parameters for length and
width.
To create these, start a new
face based generic model, and
simply create a void extrusion.
You then cut the host element
with the void.
Note: these penetrations have
the added benefit of being
schedulable.
