CUT & FILL CALCULATIONS
To do Cut and Fill calculation
inside of Revit we need to
have two Topsurfaces. The
Cut and Fill calculations work
using different phases of
construction. It is easiest to
set this up in a 3D view.
Select the Topography give it
a name ‘Existing Site’ in its
properties and change its
‘Phase Created’ to Existing.
Copy the Topography and
paste it in the exact same
position. Name the pasted
Topography ‘New Site’ and
make sure that it’s ‘Phase
Created’ is set to New
Construction. You will have to
use the Tab button or adjust
the visibility setting of your
view to select the new site.
