Load the cupboard back into
the project to see how it is
working. The show sink option
is working for the visibility of
the sink but the void is left
behind and is now cutting a
hole in our cupboard. This
means that when the sink is
‘off’. Then the void must not
cut. Unfortunately voids do not
have a visibility option.
But we can create a condition
where “when the sink is
showing the void must be -200.
When the sink is not showing
the void must be 10”. Voids
cannot be made to equal a ‘0’
value.
Back inside the cupboard
family. Click on the Family
Types button. Create a new
parameter called ‘Sink Void’.
This will be a ‘Length’ Type of
Parameter, because it has to
do with the length of the void
cut +-. Click OK. Give this
parameter a value of -200mm.
