Family Creation 2 (parametric Arrays)
We will be adding a parameter
to the sink with which we can
control its visibility once it has
been loaded into a project. We
do this because there might be
an instance where you don’t
want to show the sink and only
the cupboard. Select the sink,
in its properties click on the
button at the end of the
‘Visibility’ field. By doing this we
are adding a parameter that is
specifically for the visibility
option of the sink. In the
‘Associate Family Parameter’
dialogue window. Click ‘Add
Parameter’. Give this
parameter a name of ‘Show
Sink’, the Discipline and Type
of Parameter has already been
selected by Revit. Make this an
‘Instance’. Click OK. The
visibility of the Sink inside of
our project has now become a
Yes/No check box option.
