Family Creation 2 (parametric Arrays)
Go to a side elevation view and
you will see that the extrusion
created is on the floor and is
250mm thick. This happened
because the reference plane
for the extrusion was not set.
In the elevation view select the
counter extrusion, in the tool
ribbon click on ‘Edit Work
Plane’. The Work Plane
dialogue window appears and
asks you which Plane you want
to choose. Select the ‘Pick’ and
click OK. Now select the top
horizontal reference plane. The
extrusion will re-host itself to
this reference plane. Select the
counter extrusion again and in
its properties make its
Extrusion End value 50mm.
We want the top of the counter
to be the top of the cupboard.
At present the cupboard doors
are extending into the counter.
Click on the Family Types
button and adjust the formula
for Door Height by adding the
50mm counter thickness.
