Family Creation 2 (parametric Arrays)
Select the Cupboard Door Plain
and click on the ‘Array’ button.
The settings for the array will
be as follows:
-
elect ‘Group and
Associate’
-
Select the option of
‘Last’
Note: We select ’Group and
Associate’ because we want to
group these arrayed elements.
We select the option of ‘Last’
because we want the elements
that we arrayed to fill in the
space between the first object
and where we place the last
object. The ‘Array to 2 nd ’ option
can be used in other instances
but not in this case. The reason
is that we are going to
dimension & constrain the first
and last objects of our array to
a reference plane. These
constraints will break when the
kitchen cupboard lengthens
and we used the ‘Array to 2 nd ’
option
Click on the right hand corner
of the ‘Cupboard Door Plain’
and place it in a similar
position on the right hand side
of the kitchen cupboard. You
will see that the elements will
fill in the space between the 1 st
and last objects of the array.
If you select one of the objects
in the array then you will notice
an array indicator appears. You
can change the number of
arrayed elements by clicking on
this and editing the number
within.
