Family Creation 2 (parametric Arrays) REVIT CCP WORKSHOP 7 – FAMILY CREATION 2; PARAMETRIC ARRAYS [email protected] WORKSHOP 7 – FAMILY CREATION 2 PARAMETRIC ARRAYS In this Workshop we are going to look at Nesting and creating formulae to drive or control what these components do inside another family. Nesting is the process of creating families that are then nested inside of other usually larger families. This is done specifically when we want to create an element that that has sub elements inside of it. These sub elements are made to react in certain ways depending on what the parent family is doing. It is recommended that further study take place on ‘Fuzzy mathematics’ inside of Revit or the creation of parametric families. For this Workshop we will be creating a kitchen cupboard. This cupboard will have two different types of doors that will be interchangeable, this will create a scenario where we will have to re-think the parameters applied and how they work. It will have a counter top and also host a sink. The sink will have a visibility setting to show or not. To start this Workshop please open a new clean Revit Architectural project template.
