Site and Project Setup BUILDING THE TOPOSURFACE It is now time to build the Toposurface of the site using the DWG link. We can do this because the contour lines inside the DWG have elevation values. You can see this if you set your view to 3D. Go to the Massing & Site tab and click on the Toposurface button You will enter into a sketch or edit mode. In the tool ribbon you have the following option to create the toposurface or site; ‘Place Point’ & ‘Create from Import’. Click on the ‘Create from Import’ option and then click on the ‘Select Import Instance’ option. Select the imported DWG inside your drawing Once selected Revit will ask you which layers you want to use to create the toposurface from. Uncheck all layers except the Contour layer. Or the layer which has the elevation heights. Click OK. Revit has now place elevation points at heights and along each of the contour line that came from the DWG link.
