Site and Project Setup
ORIENT ATING YOUR PRO JECT TO TRUE & PROJECT NORTH
In your Site Plan – True
North, the North arrow in the
DWG is pointing vertically up
and the ‘Foot Print’ or the site
is rotated. For this View it is
fine. For Site Plan – Project
North we want the ‘Foot Print’
of our building to be Horizontal
& Vertical and the North Arrow
to be pointing in a direction
relating to this
In the properties of the view
there is an option to swop
between True and Project
north
Go to the Site Plan – Project
North. In the Manage tab >
Project Location panel click on
the Position Button and select
‘Rotate Project North’
Choose the option ‘Align
Selected Line or Plane. (You
will need a reference plane or
a line that is representative of
a boundary of your building to
use this option). The pick on a
reference plane or a line that
is representative of a
boundary of your building.
