Family Creation 1 (Basics)
For the door panel, start the
extrusion command located in
the “Create” panel, “Forms”
tab.
To draw a door panel, ensure
that you are in the “Exterior”
view, and select the
“Rectangle” command within
the draw panel.
Draw the door panel using the
reference plane intersections
as guidelines. Within the
properties panel, change the
“Extrusion End” value from
250 to 44mm. This will allow a
thickness of 44mm for the
door panel.
Browse to your “Ref. Level”
floor plan view. You will notice
that the door panel is visible
within my floor plan view. We
will have to change the
visibility settings for the door
panel, so that we will only see
a closed door in elevation and
3D view.
Click on the door panel as
shown in the image to the
side, and within the properties
panel, click on the “edit”
button, within the
“Graphics/Visibility Overrides”
row, in the “Graphics” area.
