Family Creation 1 (Basics)
Within the “Modify/Opening
cut” Tab, “Opening” panel,
click on the “Edit Sketch” icon.
To remove the locking
constraint from the door
opening sketch lines, select
the left sketch line and drag it
to the side. An error window
will appear. Click on “Remove
Constraints”.
Select the top sketch line,
drag it upwards, and when the
error window appears, click on
“Remove Constraints”.
Select the right sketch line,
drag it to the side, and when
the error window appears,
click on “Remove Constraints”
While still in sketch mode,
start the “Aligned Dimension”
command, located within the
“Annotate” tab, “Dimensions”
panel. Drawing dimensions in
sketch mode will ensure that
the dimensions are only visible
within sketch mode.
Add dimensions from the
reference planes to the
sketch lines as indicated on
the image to the right.
