me?” She happily agreed amidst the well wishes of the
people around them.
They set the date for October 24, 2015, close to Jamie’s birthday but also at a powerful time of year. “We had
chosen that date because my mother had passed away in
October four years prior,” Jamie says. “October has been a
hard month for me; so we decided why not make October
a fresh, new happy start together?” For a beautiful, historic
location that fit their own personal style, they chose the
City of Evanston’s Roundhouse – also important to the
couple since Evanston was where they met.
I was excited to learn that Jamie and Chris’s visit to our
Sweetwater County Wedding Expo was very beneficial in
their planning process! Not only was Chris the lucky winner
of our flat screen TV giveaway that we do at many of shows
for one lucky groom, they won free wedding bands, and
received a gift certificate from Utah Cottage, who ended
up providing planning, decorating and catering services

A
s with many Wyoming cities, Evanston’s
railroad was crucial to its economy. The
Union Pacific Railroad donated most of the
27 acre area to the City of Evanston in 1971;
today the city has created a series of beautiful
event facilities capable of housing large or small
weddings, conferences and other special events
from the UPRR’s structures. In 2009, the first of
four sections of the Roundhouse was completely
